The Pembina Gorge State Recreation Area (PGSRA) is fast becoming a top destination for recreation & adventure enthusiasts throughout North Dakota, the Mid-west and Canada. The PGSRA includes over 2,800 acres of public land in the Pembina River Gorge. It's steep valley cliffs tower over small, isolated prairies and pocketed wetlands are surrounded by the largest undisturbed forest in North Dakota. North Dakota Parks & Recreation oversees 26 miles of trails in the Pembina Gorge that can be used for horseback riding, hiking, mountain biking and off-road vehicles.
